Overview

 

This article describes the resolution of the error which occurs when sending faxes with an attachment through GFI FaxMaker; the sender receives a report with the following error:

1703 - There is no default printer

• GFI FaxMaker
• All supported environments

Root Cause

 

Windows needs a default print association in order to print to the GFI FaxMaker printer. Error 1703 indicates that the GFI FaxMaker printer is not set as the default printer.

Resolution

 

1. Install the GFI FaxMaker printer, if it is not installed.
2. Set the GFI FaxMaker printer as the default printer under the GFI FaxMaker service user account.
