Overview

The GSM SMS modem fails to process multiple outbound SMS. After a while, the GSM SMS modem stops to respond AT commands, hence a full server reboot is required to reset the attached GSM SMS modem.

Root Cause

The out-of-date firmware contains a bug that was encountered when processing multiple outbound SMS at once.

Resolution

Upgrade the out-of-date firmware of the attached GSM SMS modem.
