Overview

Upgrading EventsManager from 2011 to 2012, and then to 2013 causes all the processing rule folders and query views to create duplicates and the event sources are no longer linked to their processing rules.

To verify that you are affected by this behavior, do the following:

1. Click Configuration tab > Event Processing Rules.
2. On the left side, find the Rule Folders pane.
3. Observe that you have two folders called All rules.
4. These contain duplicated rules from the previous version.

Root Cause

This duplicate issue is a bug which has been resolved. 

Resolution

Download and install the patch. Once started, the tool will run between 10 to 60 minutes, please be patient.
