Overview

As a user with access to other user's mailboxes, you can use your IMAP account to view the shared mailboxes you have access to. To do this, you need to configure a new account for each shared mailbox. This article describes the process to access shared mailboxes via IMAP.

Process

1. Navigate to the web interface to the respective dynamically generated configuration steps for the supported IMAP clients:
   • GFI MailArchiver 2014 or newer: Client Access > Configure IMAP Access
   • GFI MailArchiver 2013 or 2012: Email Client Access > Configure IMAP Access
     
     
2. For the Username, type your username in the following format: <YourUserName>|<SharedMailboxUserName>
   
   
3. In the Password field, type your password.
   
   
4. Follow the instructions and configuration steps to create a new IMAP client account in the email client of your choice.
