Overview

You may come across instances where there is a need to transfer only the User statistics data from an old Kerio Control installation to a new Kerio Control installation. There may be situations where importing the entire configuration backup into a new Kerio Control may not be feasible because of various reasons, like no backup present, no need to import all the configuration settings, etc.

This article provides information on how to transfer only the User statistics data from an old Kerio Control installation to a new Kerio Control installation.

Prerequisites

Export the User Database from Old Kerio Control or recreate User Accounts manually to match the same username as in the previous Kerio Control installation.

SSH access to both old and new Kerio Control.

Process

1. Log in via SSH:

   root@IP_address_of_Old_Control

2. Copy the full /var/winroute/star folder to your local PC (using SCP command).

   
   
   
3. Transfer the full /var/winroute/star folder from your local PC to the new Kerio Control installation. In this case, the command will be:
   
   

   scp -r C:\Users\<username>\Desktop\star_fdb root@IP_address_New_Control:/var/winroute/star

4. Reboot the new Kerio Control:
   
   

   /etc/boxinit.d/60winroute restart

Validation

The User Statistics data is available in the new Kerio Control installation and is visible in its internal structure.
