Overview

Please refer to the minimum system requirements provided below when deploying Kerio Control. 

Kerio Control Appliance

Kerio Control is available in three different editions. Please refer to the list below for minimum system requirements for each of these three editions:

• Hardware Appliance/Kerio Control Box 
  • CPU: 2 GHz
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Hard drive: 12 GB of space for OS, product, logs, and statistics data
  • Network interface: 2 Ethernet adapters (10/100/1000 Mbit)
    

    Note: Kerio Control is based on Linux kernel version 3.16. The hardware that is supported by this kernel version is required. For the complete list of the supported hardware, please refer to the article Driver Compatibility List for PCI/USB Devices.

• VMware Virtual Appliance
  • Hardware specifications:
    • CPU: 2 GHz
    • Memory: 4 GB of dedicated RAM for the virtual machine
    • Hard drive: 12 GB of dedicated space for OS, product, logs, and statistics data
    • Network interface: 2 assigned virtual network adapters
  • Supported VMware software:
    • VMware Workstation/Player 11+
    • VMware Fusion 7+
    • VMware ESXi/vSphere Hypervisor 5.5+
• Hyper-V Virtual Appliance
  • Hardware specifications:
    • CPU: 2 GHz
    • Memory: 4 GB of dedicated RAM for the virtual machine
    • Hard drive: 12 GB of dedicated space for OS, product, logs, and statistics data
    • Network interface: 2 assigned virtual network adapters
  • Supported Windows Server OS:

The list below contains all of the supported operating systems for Kerio Control VPN clients:

Basic User Login

Kerio Control supports all HTTP(S)-compliant web browsers, including mobile browsers, for the basic user login. However, Kerio Control may require certain browsers to support the configured encryption protocol. Here are the minimum system requirements for accessing the Kerio Control Administration and Kerio Control Statistics interfaces:

• CPU: 1 GHz. However, a 2.4 GHz dual-core processor is recommended for the best performance.
• Memory: 1 GB RAM (512 MB on Windows XP with Firefox or Google Chrome)
• Recommended browsers:
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 11
  • Microsoft Edge 20 or newer
  • Firefox 23 or newer
  • Safari 5 or newer
  • Google Chrome 31 or newer
