Overview

Checks which do not monitor a computer will consume one license over and above the current server license count. Such checks include:

• HTTP
• FTP
• Generic MS SQL
• ADO checks
• ODBC checks
  
  

Information

When more than one of these checks is configured, it will still only count 1 extra license. Take the following scenarios as examples for clarification:

Scenario 1:

• 1 SQL check to ServerA
• 1 Ping check to ServerA
• 1 Ping check to ServerB

This consumes 3 licenses.

Scenario 2:

• 1 SQL check to ServerA
• 1 SQL check to ServerB
• 1 HTTP check to ServerA
• 1 Ping check to ServerA
• 1 Ping check to ServerB

This still consumes just 3 licenses.
