Problem Summary
Updates for webgrade and anti-virus show as up to date, but the definition date shows not the latest available definition
TT / JIRAID
1326
How to Identify
1. Anti-Virus definition are not the latest available 2. There is no error message or e-mail sent to the administrator 3. Logs show update completed: AVN diff update download returned up-to-date result. status:-" 2014-05-09,12:36:39,938,#00000cb4,"INFO ","WMonSrv"," Vipre Current version is up-to-date." 4. Client has caching enable in the proxy CAUSE: The changed done in the update URL needs to be added to the list of exceptions in the proxy.config file to bypass caching. So, as cache is enabled and not exception is in place, the xxxxxx_current_revision.txt file is cached and the proxy does not download the latest
Workaround / Fix Details
1. Browse to ...\Webmonitor\Interface\App_Data 2. Backup ProxyConfig.xml 3. open the proxyConfig.xml with notepad and add: cdnupdate*.gfi.com save the file and restart the gfi proxy service.
