Error: 'A Required Anti-Forgery Token Was Not Supplied or Was Invalid' When Saving Settings in GFI WebMonitor

Overview

When trying to save settings in the GFI WebMonitor management console (e.g. web filtering and security policies, always allowed and always blocked, etc..) the following error message is displayed:

A required anti-forgery token was not supplied or was invalid.

 

Environment

  • GFI WebMonitor 
  • All supported environments

 

Root Cause

Blocking cookies prevents GFI WebMonitor from displaying some application web pages correctly or not at all.

 

Process

Ensure that cookies are enabled in your internet browser. To enable cookies in Microsoft Internet Explorer:

  1. Open the browser and go to Tools > Internet Options.
  2. Go to the Privacy tab.
  3. Under Settings, set the slider to Medium.
  4. Click on the Apply button to save settings.
