Overview

This article provides the steps to change the fax@faxmaker.com account used in the uploaded transmission report.

Process

To edit the sender email address fax@faxmaker.com used in uploaded transmission reports, follow the steps below:

1. It is first necessary to enable the POP3 Downloader in the Email2FAXGateway properties.  To do so:

   1. Close the GFI FaxMaker configuration.
   2. Open the registry editor on the GFI FaxMaker server and navigate to:
      • For x86: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GFI Fax & Voice\FaxMaker\Config.
      • For x64: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GFI Fax & Voice\FaxMaker\Config.
   3. Edit the DWORD enter: InstallMode to have value 3 (HEX).
   4. Close the registry editor and restart both GFI FaxMaker services.
2. Open the GFI FaxMaker configuration, navigate to Email2FAXGateway, select Properties.
3. Under the POP3 Downloader tab, check to Enable POP3 downloader, then specify an email desired to upload the transmission reports.
4. Select OK, close the GFI FaxMaker configuration, then restart the GFI FaxMaker services.
5. Open the GFI FaxMaker configuration, navigate to Email2FAXGateway, select Properties.
6. Under the POP3 Downloader tab, uncheck/deselect Enable POP3 downloader (leaving the email previously entered grayed out).
7. Select the OK button, close the GFI FaxMaker configuration, then restart the GFI FaxMaker services.

Confirmation

With the next receipt of a transmission report, the email used to upload should be the one defined in the POP3 Downloader.
