"error ","faxserver","[20120418_103929_00005.sfm]outmsgCheckErrors : sender[FAX=49xxxx@tdomain.com]
is not FAX user"
Environment
- GFI FaxMaker
- SAP ECC 5.0 or higher
Root Cause
SAP ECC generates the recipient field on the way: "FAX=(faxnumber)@faxmaker.com". GFI FaxMaker is unable to resolve it due to a prefix "FAX=". Hence the address format should be "faxnumber)@faxmaker.com". Later versions of SAP generates the "FAX=" field for the recipient which cannot be interpreted by GFI FaxMaker.
Resolution
Please follow the article SAP Configuration with a minor modification. In the last step in section, Conversion into Internet Address, please set the Domain field to "+$@FAXMAKER.COM" instead of "FAXMAKER.COM".
Confirmation
Fax emails are sent from the SAP system successfully.
