Overview

After upgrading SAP from 4.7 to 6.0, GFI FaxMaker starts to reject the fax email requests with the error message: 

You are not a GFI FaxMaker user.

Environment

• GFI FaxMaker 
• SAP 6.0

Root Cause

If the “Fax” field of SAP contains a value, then SAP will try to send a fax email request from +SAP-fax-field@customer-domain (which will fail to match with the licensed user configured in GFI FaxMaker). However, if the “Fax” field of SAP is empty, then SAP will send a fax email request from the user's email address which works appropriately.

Resolution

The workaround for this is clearing "Fax" field in SAP.

Confirmation

The fax email request from SAP is sent successfully.
