PROBLEM

The GFI FaxMaker monitor will randomly display the error:  'Brooktrout unit X specific error: sendfax::BFVCallSetup [res.status = 0] [res.line_status = 331]'.

ENVIRONMENT

• GFI FaxMaker
• all supported environments

SOLUTION

1. Open the file ..\GFI\FAXmaker\brooktrout\tr1034\Boston\config\btcall.cfg in notepad
2. Locate the line 'max_timeout'
3. Change the number in that row to '600' so the line should read 'max_timeout 600'
4. Save the filel

CAUSE

The configured timeout value in the Dialogic Brooktrout TR1034 SDK is too short for the custom environment.
