Error: 'C-0020' when sending a fax using the GFI FAXmaker Fax Message Form

PROBLEM

When trying to send a fax from the GFI FAXmaker Fax Message Form, the following error is encountered:

Error: C-0020 - Unspecified error. Failed to connect to GFI FaxMaker Server.
 

ENVIRONMENT

  • GFI FaxMaker Client using HTML (WSAPI) Mode
  • All supported environments
 

SOLUTION

Ensure that on the GFI FaxMaker FaxServer machine the GFI FaxMaker WSAPI service is running and port 8555 is open.

CAUSE

GFI FaxMaker client failed to communicate with the GFI FaxMaker WSAPI service using port 8555.
