Overview

 

This article describes the resolution of an issue, which occurs when configuring GFI FaxMaker to archive faxes to GFI Archiver, and you receive the following error message:

Cannot connect to GFI Archiver server. Verify server details or check network connection, and try again.

• GFI FaxMaker
• All supported environments

Root Cause

 

GFI Archiver is configured to connect using SSL; however, the SSL Policy Certificate is not validated by GFI FaxMaker.

Resolution

 

Add a registry key to ignore SSL errors:

1. Press Ctrl + R.

2. Enter regedit.exe and click OK.

3. Navigate to the following location:

   • 32 bit: HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\GFI Fax & Voice\FAXmaker\Config

   • 64 bit: HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Wow6432Node\GFI Fax & Voice\FAXmaker\Config

4. Create a key named IgnoreSSLPolicyErrors and set the value of the key as 1.
