Overview

FaxMaker from GFI Software uses XCAPI (a software-only FoIP (Fax over IP) solution from TE-SYSTEMS). The following information is to be noted before upgrading only XCAPI to the latest version.

Information

Each FaxMaker release includes a supported version of XCAPI software. At the time of release, the included version of the XCAPI software is the latest available one.

There might be newer versions of XCAPI software available, before a new release of FaxMaker is scheduled. These releases, in general, have not been tested with the latest FaxMaker release available. In such cases, an upgrade of XCAPI software is not recommended, unless GFI Software specifies supporting it.
