Overview
This article explains the nomenclature and labeling of versions in Exinda.
Information
Starting in ExOS 6.4.1, we adopted nomenclature for specific releases Exinda firmware. Each version will have the following structure:
Major.Minor.Dot Type

Major |
Sweeping changes in the product. Major new functionality added, e.g., a brand new User Interface with new capabilities. |
Minor |
A large new feature set added, usually multiple bigger features, e.g., high availability for accelerated deployments and full MAPI support. |
Dot |
Minor new functionality, e.g., new Layer 7 signature update. |
Type |
This designates the type of release:

6.4.0 Beta 2 | A Beta release of 6.4.0 before the next generally available version. |
6.4.0 | The first generally available release of 6.4.0. |
6.4.0 Update 1 | The first version in the 6.4.0 release fixing bugs. |
6.4.1 | The first generally available release of 6.4.1. |
6.4.1 Update 1 | The first version in the 6.4.1 release fixing bugs. |
