Check Point VPN Secure Client Fails to Launch When LanGuard Agent Is Running

Overview

If you install Check Point VPN Secure Client and the LanGuard agent on the same target computer, everything works fine until you launch the agent. After you start the LanGuard agent; the Check Point software fails to load until the software is re-installed.

Root Cause

LanGuard agent corrupts the Check Point VPN Secure Client installation if it's configured to run the software audit scan.

This behavior is a product defect which has been resolved in LanGuard 20130121 patch.

 

Resolution

Download and install the LanGuard 20130121 patch.
