You are receiving the following message saying that the protection agent is not responding when the computer or the agent is listed as communicating within the last minute.

Environment

EndPointSecurity 2012 build 20120104 (patch 6)

Root Cause

A new feature was introduced in patch 6 that caused these emails to be sent incorrectly. To verify, check the toolcfg_updatehistiory.xml and verify if the last patch applied is patch 6.

Resolution

This feature was removed in patch 8. You need to apply patch 8 or newer using the auto-update feature to resolve this issue.
