Error: 'Procedure SP_ADD_ACTIVITY_CATEGORIES already exists' when running the WebMonitor Data Importer Tool

PROBLEM

You may receive the following error when running the WebMonDataImporterTool.exe:

ENVIRONMENT

• WebMonitor 2012 SP1 (build 20120618)
• All supported environments

SOLUTION

This normally occurs when you try to upgrade/import data from a GFI WebMonitor 2012 SR1 database (such as the default WEBMON.FDB firebird database in the GFI\Webmonitor\Data directory) into a GFI WebMonitor SR1 database (such as the MS SQL Server database).

This cannot be done with this tool. The GFI WebMonitor 2012 option shown below is only for upgrading a database from WebMonitor 2012 (build 20120305) or below to a WebMonitor 2012 SR1 (build 20120618) database.

CAUSE

Attempting to import data from a GFI WebMonitor SR1 database is not supported by this tool.
