Faxes are arriving as .fax files

PROBLEM

Faxes are being delivered to mailboxes as .fax files and cannot be opened on the client machine.

ENVIRONMENT

  • GFI FaxMaker
  • All supported environments

SOLUTION

  1. Follow: How to change the format of inbound faxes to change the receive format

CAUSE

GFI FaxMaker is configured to deliver faxes transmission reports as .fax file format by default.
