How to Identify

GFI FaxMaker (which is installed in AD mode) fails to enumerate the group membership if a licensed user is member of too many groups (e.g. licensed user was member of 20 groups). Since upgrade of GFI FaxMaker to the latest build GFI FaxMaker prompts with the error "No a GFI FaxMaker user", although the user is clearly licensed as GFI FaxMaker user. Following test was performed in customer's environment: 1. Create a use Europe/Testuser 2. Added in FaxMaker as part of a Group 3. User was member in more than 20+ groups 2015-06-02,12:03:47,755,1,"#0000154C","#00000001","info ","UserManagement.AD","GetObjectMemberOf(a9030911-882c-4a6b-9b67-341dbf9465a3): 0 memberOf." 2015-06-02,12:03:49,065,1,"#0000154C","#00000001","info ","UserManagement.AD","GetObjectMemberOf(a9030911-882c-4a6b-9b67-341dbf9465a3): 0 memberOf." 2015-06-02,12:03:49,086,1,"#0000154C","#00000001","info ","UserManagement.AD","GetAdObject: type: ObjectGuid, filter: a9030911-882c-4a6b-9b67-341dbf9465a3" 4. Lowered the membership of this test user from 20+ to 6 groups and the fax went through So, there is a bug in GFI FaxMaker that it fails to to enumerate the group membership of a licensed GFI FaxMaker user.
