Startup Delay for Mounting Kerio Connect Store

Overview

The Kerio Connect store is located on a separate disk (mounting point). The external spinning drives don't mount before the Kerio Connect service starts. This causes the Kerio Connect to create the wrong store path. There is a built-in Kerio Connect parameter that allows controlling the Wait limit for the mounting store process.

This article provides information on how to configure Mount store delay in Kerio Connect.

Prerequisites

Admin (root) access to the Kerio Connect server

Process

  1. Stop the Kerio Connect service.

  2. Navigate to the Kerio installation folder.
    The defaults are:

    Windows: C:\Program Files\Kerio\MailServer
    Mac: /usr/local/kerio/mailserver
    Linux: /opt/kerio/mailserver

  3. Open mailserver.cfg and locate the following variable.

    <table name="Directories">
    ...
    <variable name="StoreVolumeMountWaitLimit">120</variable>

    069.png
  4. Increase the <variable name="StoreVolumeMountWaitLimit"> as per custom needs (this variable is in seconds). Save the changes.

  5. Start the Kerio Connect service.

Confirmation

The mounting disk is loaded faster than the Kerio Connect process asks for the Mounting store folder.
