Problem Summary

When upgrading versions GFI EndPointSecurity will not allow the user to use the same database backend and the user is forced to create a new one.

How to Identify

Customer upgrades to GFI EndPointSecurity 2013 from version 4.2, 4.3, or 2012. When trying to connect to previous version of the database in the "Change backend database" dialog, it tells them to create a new database.

Workaround / Fix Details

Fixed in GFI EndPointSecurity 2013 Service Release 1 (build 20130719)
