This article provides the detail on how fax received from a forwarded fax number is handled in GFI FaxMaker Online.

Information

When a fax call is forwarded from a different phone number, the CallerID will not show the original caller. To allow the original CallerID to be associated with the received fax call, the fax number should be "ported" rather than "forwarded."
