Access denied after successful access to CD/DVD or other devices

Problem Summary

When the policy allows access to CD/DVD or other devices, the first access is allowed, but re-inserting a CD/DVD or other device gives a dialog box the states "Location is not accessible: D:\ is not accessible. Access is denied."

How to Identify

See problem summary. Agent debuglogs only show the first successful access, they do not show the insertion of the device the second time. Redeploying the agent will immediately restore access. Logging off and on will restore access.

1. Check the agent log file for the agent build the customer has installed (e.g. logging "AgentEsecService"," Build: 20120703, Patch: 0") 2. If agent build is older than 20120703, provide patch to the customer 3. Attach article to the case
